Foreign Office Pakistan Rejects Afghan Claim of Providing Safe Harbors to Banned Outfits

Foreign Office Pakistan has declared that Pakistani soil was not being used against any republic and rejected claim of providing safe harbors to banned outfits.

Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria in weekly conference emphasized that territory of Afghanistan is being recurrently used against Pakistan by the external powers.

A few days ago, bomb blasts claimed numbers of lives in Afghanistan. Immediately after the blasts, a spokesman of Afghan government in Kabul alleged the terrorists can attack inside Afghanistan each time they want since Pakistan had provided them safe havens in Fata.

He said that Pakistan has met gigantic economic losses in war against terror, besides sacrificing thousands of lives, adding that the US recognized the Pakistan’s efforts against terrorism several times.

Reduction in militancy and enhanced security along Pakistan-Afghanistan border are aspects, which materialized due the genuine efforts of Pakistan Army’s undiscriminating action against radical groups, he said.

He emphasized that Operation Zarb-e-Azb is one of the factors that aided lift Pakistan’s pecuniary grade in the world.

He revealed that several representatives and military officials of the US go to see Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) and recognised Pakistan’s counter-terrorism initiative.

He said that Afghanistan is fighting against several militant groups leading to volatility that ultimately generates vacuum for organizations like Haqqani network, TTP, TTA, Al-Qaeda, Jamaatul Ahraar and others.

He restated that National Directorate of Security (NDS) of Afghanistan and Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) of India still pose threats to the security of Pakistan.
