Rawalpindi, Pakistan – Commander Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan, General John Nicholson called on Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa, stated ISPR on Monday.
The top brass visited the area of Miranshah where the general of US Army was briefed about the social and developmental projects in North Waziristan by the relevant General Officer Commanding. The Major General also apprised the US general about operation Zarb-e-Azb and return of Temporarily Displaced Persons of the area.
The COAS appreciated the performance of US forces in Afghanistan, besides the role of Resolute Support Mission (RSM) for professional development of Afghan forces.
General Bajwa also emphasized the importance of Pak –Afghan joint mechanism of border security, adding that RSM can play very vital role in implementing the security mechanism at Pak-Afghan border.
General John Nicholson valued the steadfastness and enduring efforts on the way to combating terrorism and regional stability, above and beyond appreciating the efficacious operation of Pakistan Army in North Waziristan.
