Omni Group Director – The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Monday granted protective bail to the close aide of a top leader of top political party and a business conglomerate accused by the Sindh Rangers of keeping illegal weapons and explosives in his offices.
Divisional bench of SHC directed Khawaja Salman, director of the Omni Group, to deposit a surety of Rs500,000 as a guarantee on his bail in the concerned trial court in four days’ time.
Two FIRs were lodged against Salman under section 23(1)a of the Sindh Arms Act and section 4 & 5 of the Explosives Substances Act, read with section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act registered at police stations of Saddar and Kharadar..
In his petition, Salman submitted to the old the bench that the allegations levelled against him were completely untrue. He contended to face the allegations in the court but feared that he might be apprehended.
